Uptime monitoring

Uptime monitoring answers the most important question: can people reach your site right now? PageWarden loads your web address on a schedule and confirms it responds correctly.

What it checks

PageWarden requests your page over HTTP or HTTPS and confirms it returns a healthy response. If the site fails to load, returns an error, or times out, the check fails, and after multi-region confirmation an incident opens.

It also records how long each request took, so you can watch response time and spot a site that is slowing down before it falls over.

Set it up

When you add a website monitor, uptime monitoring is included automatically. Paste the full address (including https://) and choose an interval.

Good to know

• Use the exact address visitors use, including https:// and any www.
• If your site is up in a browser but shows Down here, a bot protection service may be blocking automated requests. See My site shows Down but it is up.
